The sleevenotes of the Victoria Kings’ Mighty Kings of Benga CD on Globestyle say the tracks on the CD were all originally released in the late 1970s and early 1980s as singles on the band’s own Oula Record Company label. Most Oula releases in this discography refer to the label as an affiliate of Oluoch Kanindo’s POK Music Store. This release, though, makes no mention of his involvement, suggesting it is from a later date, one that fits in with the CD liner notes.
