All indicators are that this is a recording of a traditional choir from Metuma in Machaos District. The names of both Tamaduni, the choir, and Utamaduni, the record’s producers can be translated as meaning “traditional” and it would be interesting to know whether Utamaduni produced an entire catalogue of traditional music from across the nation.
