Kikuyu label. Lawrence Nduru’s Rift Valley Brothers also recorded for Kalamindi, Nguirubi and Sibuor, while James Wahome’s Nyahururu Boys also recorded for Wahome Super Sounds. Francis Ruguiti’s Banana Hill Band cut sides for Sokota, Njogu, Sibuor, Sululu and Wahome Super Sounds. The Prison Training Group was a Christian group.
MRT 7-007, MRT 7-20 and MRT 7-021 turned up on Ebay in May 2010. They show the existence of a blue coloured version of the label. Who exactly D.K. (‘Kung Fu’) and B.A. Kanyottu ‘Kung Fu” were is a mystery, although it is entirely possible D.K. is Daniel Kamau, but those were the names on the label.
Martin Fuchs in Germany alerted me to the existence of CDKS 7-096 in September 2011. It is in English and Kikuyu.
