A record that Sofianne of Groovy Record in Paris alerted me to in April 2011. The Kamba band also recorded at least one other single on Athiani, though this looks like an independent production that probably dates from the 1980s.

Songwriter Jacob William Maunda doesn’t feature anywhere else in this discography,but he certainly didn’t lack confidence in his own abilities. He lists himself as Soloist International on this single, a title that echoes Mbaraka Mwinshehe’s Soloist National tag.
