Gloria Kings, under the leadership of Opiyo Emmy and Brother Charlly Computer (real name Oyndo Oloo), are an offshoot of Victoria B Kings and had a sizeable hit in the 1980s with Hully Aoko. Some sources suggest a serious rivalry existed between the two Luo bands, though it is difficult to say how fractious relationships were as both bands shared the same record distributor, Suna-based Mashuke Records.
