Produced by City Sounds in Nairobi and copyrighted by the same operation, MBUTE 05 is from the British Library’s collection and was one of the first records on this site, added in 2008. We had to wait to add to this listing until December 2011 when Fredrik Lavik in Norway turned up MBUTE 04.

I haven’t encountered any other records by either of these bands. Let’s hope some info turns up and we don’t have to wait another three years to add to this listing.

Update: Fredrik saw what I had written above and a couple of days later very kindly sent in details of MBUTE 01
