A CBS label evidently that was intended for releases by Zimbabwean artists but very quickly broadened its remit to cover recordings from other African countries.

Perekedza Mwana (Shona for “Escort the Girl Home”) was a hit for Oliver Mtukudzi in the late 1970s, suggesting this single was released in 1979 or 1980.

Details of this record and the label scan were kindly provided by Fredrik Lavik of Norway in September 2011.

In October 2011, Doug Paterson sent in details of ZMB 3, which is by the Soul Brothers, a South African mbaqanga group formed in the mid-1960s who have enjoyed considerable success in Zimbabwe over the years.
