This label seems to have had two incarnations with, confusingly, the same catalogue numbers. The blue version is, I suspect, the earlier format, while the yellow one is a sister label to the Editions Mwana Mama label. To learn more, go to www.muzikifan.com/shika.html

I don’t know anything about the Madics. UMS 02, UMS 03, UMS 1, UMS 3 and UMS 4 were written by Jimmy Moni Mambo of Orch Shika Shika, a Congolese band based in Kenya who recorded prolifically in the late 1970s and early 1980s, most notably for Hit Parade and Editions Jaca. Orch Pole Pole was more of a studio-based operation.
