Shariff’s is the main recording operation in Bungoma, a town near the Ugandan border, and the Sunday Jazz Band also recorded for its Bungoma label as well as for the Babukusu label. This record, though, appears to be produced by the band itself under circumstances that are unclear. Did the group fall out with Shariff’s or just decide to go it alone?
