How the Oula Recording Company came into being is open to conjecture. Internet sources suggest the firm was set up by Collela Mazee and Awino Lawi after they split from Victoria Kings to form Victoria B Kings. But here is a record by the original group on an Oula label, which suggests either the label was set up earlier or else the split was amicable.
