KTN 001 is an early 1980s offering in Luhya and Swahili from David Amunga, one of the veterans of Kenyan music as a founder of the Mwangaza and Twist labels in the 1960s.

For a long time KTN 001 was the only single on this label in the discography until Alan Wheeler very kindly supplied information on KTN 002 in April 2014. It’s a recording by Congolese expatriate Moreno Batamba’s band, whose work was anthologised on the Sterns CD, Sister Pili + 2, in 2012.
