I spotted this at a record fair in London in September 2012 and almost bought until the vendor and I failed to agree upon a reasonable price for it. He wasn’t best pleased when I opted to photograph it instead.
I had taken it for a Kenyan pressing but on closer inspection I think it is probably South African. The clue is in the reference to EMI-Brigadiers, which was a joint venture between EMI South Africa and a local company Brigadiers set up in 1973 to jointly market their catalogues. The partnership disappeared in 1983, suggesting this is one of their later records. It looks like it may have originally been released on the Kenyan EMI label Duol.
