The “distributed by Meg’s” tag shows that this is part of the Audio Productions stable.
Kyanganga Boys are a Kamba band, led by Peter Mwambi, who also recorded for Utanu.
Kangundo Dangerous Boys are a Kamba band, a side project of Francis Dangerous who also played with Kimimambogo Brothers Band.
Nyeri Honey Boys are a Kikuyu group, presumably led by Arthur Maina, and the Kali Kali Boys and Kona Kona, who both sing in Kiswahili, are otherwise unknown.
BOXER
Doug Paterson contributed details of BX 105, although I know nothing about the band, and Sofiane of Groovy Record in Paris provided information on BX 7-001, BX 003, BX 011 and BX 019.
Details of BX 2, 12 and 13 and BX 101-04 are taken from a December 1982 Audio Productions catalogue found by Flemming Harrev in October 2013 while undertaking research in the archives of Stern’s in London. They show that the 100 series was used for releases in Kallenjin and Ekegusii.
