The B-side of BBS 3 enjoyed a fresh wave of success when it was included on Duncan Brooker’s compilation Afro-Rock Vol 1, originally released in 2001 on Brooker’s own Kona label and recently re-released on Strut.

Steele Beauttah was the leader of Air Fiesta Matata, a top-notch Kenyan funk band of the late 1960s and 1970s. In an article in the Guardian, Brooker  tells his sad story. You can read it here.
