1980s label from Nairobi’s Audio Productions. Orch Shika Shika were one of the most prolific bands of the period, recording for more than a dozen labels. ALP 10, which has a gold and black label, features Lessa Lassan’s band, while this incarnation of Super Mazembe features the veteran musician Nashil Pinchen, formerly of the Eagles Lupopo. He also fronted the Super Mazembe singles to be found on the Luapula label.

ALP 002 was retrieved from the University of Mainz’s catalogue in September 2011 and the label contains a typo – the Congolese band’s name should be Orchestra Super Vedette.
